The Mont-Aux Sources Ultra Trail returns to the Royal Natal National Park, part of the uKhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site, from 11 to 13 September 2026. Now in its 34th year, 'Monties' offers 50km and 21km distances (run on 12 September) plus a short prologue, starting from the race village at Mahai campsite and climbing towards the Amphitheatre, the famous chain ladders and Tugela Falls.

Our crew sets up and services the tented camp at the race village in Mahai campsite, so runners can arrive, unzip and settle in before tackling the Amphitheatre. Tent accommodation is booked as part of your race entry with the organisers.
